I am the woman

Wrote the following poem after I saw this hauntingly beautiful pic of a friend...

I have eyes
that follow you
till your shadow
leaves you

I have lips
that can count
your smiles
and glances

Abundance
waits on me,
as I wait
for you.

I am the woman
you love,
I am the woman,
I love.

Hi Guruden,

I read your article about Balasaraswati and Rukmani Devi's represetaions of Bharatha Natyam.
I was just enthralled by an Oddissi performance here in Sri Lanka by Bijayani Satpathi. She performed our Local Kandyan dancing also with a one months training.
I was talking /writing to may good Malayali friend Dr.Devika Jayakumari whose daughter is @ Kalakshetra about my confusion about identifying differently beautiful dance forms of Oddissi,BN and Mohiniyattam.
Our Sri Lankan Kandyan dance is a kind of vey primal, earth bound masuline dance form which does not have a great philosophical background.
Don't you like to learn our form of dance? Your comments in some articles on masculinity in dancing made me ask this question...
I am just curious! :-)

Warm Regards
Satya
